About Us
We are Chris, Sarah & Penny Carpenter.
Our journey here began in 2015 when we bought Bell Farm in the centre of the village of Woollard. It is a 14th Century Grade 2 Listed Farmhouse which needed (& still needs!!) a lot of TLC. It is important to us to ensure our renovation works maintain traditional workmanship, techniques and are sensitively undertaken; it really is a labour of love.
We have tried to put conservation at the heart of re-establishing a working farm across diverse habitats (riverside, floodplain, woodland & hillside meadow).
We bought our first alpacas - a group of 8 girls in 2016, and have now grown the herd to 30.
We think you will agree with us that alpacas are addictive!
Along with the alpacas on our smallholding, we have rare-breed pigs, sheep, geese, ducks, and chickens.
